The Ultimate Guide to Todos Santos
How to Get to Todos Santos
Todos Santos is a short 1 hour drive from Cabo.Once you land, I would definitely recommend renting a car. Our friends recommended Mex Rental Car to us and we found them very easy so I would recommend booking from them. There are also a ton of other car companies you can rent from. We just happened to use Mex and it seemed to be the cheapest option and easy.
Where to Stay in Todos Santos
We stayed at Villas La Mar in Todos Santos and absolutely loved it. I will preface this by saying that Villas La Mar is more of a condo type stay with beautiful amenities on the property. When we stayed at Villas La Mar, the bar/restaurant was not open so I cannot speak to that, however the pools and property were beautiful.
Our specific condo had a patio with a table, fireplace and hammock so it was so comfortable to just hang out there (which we did basically every night). We also stayed on the upper level of the property – which I would likely recommend because we had a private pool to ourselves as well as having two additional fire-pits.
Where to Eat in Todos Santos
Food is always my favorite topic to talk about so let’s get to it.
Let’s start with our absolute favorite, Santo Chilote. OMG. I have no words. I absolutely loved this place mainly for all the fixings you could put on your tacos as well as it was a fabulous bang for your buck. I’m talking $3 tacos.
I ordered the coconut shrimp tacos every day – because I am beyond obsessed with coco shrimp. Something about that coconut – just delish.
When we first got our tacos, I was a little bummed because they looked so bland, but then I noticed the TOPPINGS BAR. There was the most insane toppings bar to add to our tacos. I’m talking 6 different kinds of salsa, cucumbers, pickled onions, all the works. So once you get your tacos, head up to the cart and add whatever you want to your tacos!
Barracuda Restaurant – This restaurant actually closed in Todos Santos town but there is one 25 minutes down the road in Los Cerritos which is actually the original, so probably worth the drive!
Barracuda is right next to the beach and is just on sand, which was my favorite part. The tacos were delicious. I feel like I keep saying this about every single spot but obviously the tacos are going to be good in Mexico.
San Cristobal Hotel is absolutely gorgeous and we ended up getting brunch here after hiking Point Lobos. San Cristobal Hotel in Todos Santos is a 5 star, immaculate hotel with phenomenal food. We got the yogurt bowl, honey pancakes (omg get these if you get anything!!), and the egg plate.
Everything on the menu at San Cristobal sounded absolutely spectacular and I don’t think you could go wrong.
The Green Room – We actually did not go here, but it was recommended to us by a lot of people and is right on the beach! Probably great to go for dinner/ happy hour and watch sunset.
What to do in Todos Santos
Day pass at San Cristobal
Hotel San Cristobal is absolutely gorgeous so it could be fun to grab a day pass for their pool and lounge there all day. It is also located on the beach so you’ll be able to be poolside or oceanside, whichever you prefer all while having access to the oceanfront bar.
Punta Lobos Hike
As you know, we always like to find a good hike in the area and get some movement in so we explored Punta Lobos Hike. It is very easy to get to, you can pull up coordinates just by googling it or using All Trails, but it is basically at the San Cristobal hotel.
This hike can be anywhere from 2 to 5 miles long depending on the route you take and pace you walk. There are many different view points along the way so you really can stop anywhere once you get towards the top and take it in.
**Please make sure to bring water, stay hydrated and go in the morning. The heat will creep up on you so you want to go early in the day before it gets too hot.
I hope you found this helpful. Please let me know if you use this post to plan your trip or if you do anything recommended here!

Christy
